Union Institute & University’s inaugural Conference Day
was held October 12, 2012 at the university’s Cincinnati Academic Center.
Author, consultant and Cincinnati resident Peter Block delivered the keynote
address, The Restoration of Community, to
a full audience. Other highlights of
the day included a compelling discussion of the Role of Leadership and the Community featuring Union Institute
& University President Roger Sublett, Ph.D. and Provost Richard Hansen,
Ph.D. The afternoon was filled with break-out sessions covering a wide range of
topics that reflected the diverse specialties of Union’s faculty. Subjects included police and school
partnerships, wikis, maternal child health, cultural self-awareness, social
justice and student debt demonstrations.
