UI&U’s new certificate in Health Education offers busy adults the opportunity to improve their career potential by engaging in fully online, innovative, and emerging graduate level courses. Courses are aligned with the National Commission for Health Education Credential’s Seven Areas of Responsibilities for Health Educators and their exam application requirements for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential.
According to Dayle Deardurff, UI&U’s director of Lifelong Learning, the program is geared for a new generation of health professionals, educators, dietitians, and other professionals. “Whether a student wants to enhance their resume, build skills, add value to their service with their employer, or explore a new career path, the Certificate in Health Education lays the foundation for students to serve the community as a
pro-active health educator,” Deardurff states.
