LOS ANGELES –Union Institute & University’s (UI&U) Los Angeles Center has moved and is now operating from their new center location at 6701 Center Drive West, Suite #1200. The new space features three additional large classrooms, a computer lab, and more office space for administrative staff and faculty.
The move was necessary to accommodate the demand for more on-site classes and steady enrollment growth, particularly in UI&U’s criminal justice management program, one of the university’s most successful. “Enrollment growth at our LA Center is very strong,” said Dr. James Rocheleau, Associate Provost of Special Projects for the California Centers. “Not only are we positioning ourselves as the premier university in California for criminal justice management, but our other degree completion programs like early childhood development are growing. In today’s economy, we are seeing more adults return to school to complete their degree in order to have more job security and opportunities.”
The Los Angeles Academic Center today has partnerships with several law enforcement organizations in the LA area, including the Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Brea Police Department, and Arcadia Police Department. UI&U also has a strong, rapidly growing criminal justice management program at the Sacramento Academic Center. Today, many law enforcement professionals from across the state of California have been educated at UI&U.
Union Institute & University is non-profit, private university headquartered in Cincinnati that offers a different approach to adult education featuring flexible, individualized, and socially relevant undergraduate and graduate degrees, online or through brief residencies. In addition to the Los Angeles and Sacramento locations, UI&U also has centers in Brattleboro and Montpelier, Vt.
